Q. Why should i sign up for this?
A.
- Simple competitive net pricing, no messy rebates.
- Payment simplicity - all major credit cards accepted (Amex, Diners, Visa and Master Card)
- Additional savings to pharmacists – Credit Card Merchant fees absorbed by Pfizer Australia on all transactions.
Q. Why is Pfizer doing this?
A.
We have designed the Pfizer Direct program in response to numerous pharmacy requests
to establish a direct relationship between Pfizer and pharmacies in terms of supply.
Pharmacies are telling us they want a simple net price deal from Pfizer on the full
range of Pfizer pharmaceutical products. We also aim to drive lower supply chain
costs by encouraging efficient ordering patterns.
Q. Why is there a minimum order value?
A.
The minimum order value of $9,000 is there to encourage efficient ordering patterns
and therefore drive lower supply chain costs. These efficiencies are passed on to
the pharmacists in the pricing of Pfizer products through Pfizer Direct.
Q. What will happen to wholesalers?
A.
Pfizer Direct is designed to exist side-by-side with current supply arrangements
between pharmacies and wholesalers and does not seek to replace wholesalers – it
is an additional option for pharmacies.
Q. Will Pfizer be claiming a share of CSO?
A.
CSO: Pfizer will not be pursuing a share of the Community Service Obligation (CSO) funding pool on products sold through this channel.
DHL will not be claiming CSO on Pfizer products sold through Pfizer Direct.
Q. Where will Pfizer products be supplied
from?
A.
Pfizer products will be delivered to all destinations in Australia from a central
distribution point in Sydney.
Q. How long will it take for my order
to get to me?
A.
Please refer to the Delivery Times Calculator on this website for estimated lead
time to your location.
Q. How will Pfizer be distributing
products?
A.
All orders, deliveries and payments will be made through our long term service provider
DHL.
Q. Why has Pfizer Direct chosen to
distribute their products via DHL?
A.
Pfizer has utilised the services of DHL as a 3rd party logistics provider since
1999 for all of our pre-wholesaling warehousing and distribution requirements. DHL
continues to be our distribution service provider for Pfizer Direct.
Q. How will I be able order Pfizer
products?
A.
Pharmacists will place their orders directly with DHL through their iStore, the
pharmacist’s own point of sale system or over phone/fax with DHL’s Pharmacy Supply customer service
department.
Q. What do I do if I am not set
up with DHLs iStore?
A.
During your registration process you will be asked if you have an iStore log in.
If you do not, a DHL representative will contact you directly to help you set up an
iStore account if you so wish.
Q. Can I buy hospital products through
Pfizer Direct?
A.
Not at this stage. Full range of pharmaceutical products will be available through
Pfizer Direct.
Q. Can I buy Pfizer Consumer products
through Pfizer Direct?
A.
Late last year (2006), Pfizer divested its Consumer Health Division to Johnson &
Johnson, so no consumer products are available through Pfizer Direct.
Q. If I register with Pfizer Direct,
will there be any minimum commitment from me?
A.
No, no commitment at all. Pfizer Direct is simply providing an alternative channel
for you to purchase Pfizer pharmaceutical products. It’s up to you if you choose
to use it.
Q. I own more than one pharmacy.
Can I sign up all of them to Pfizer Direct?
A.Yes, you can. Each pharmacy will have its
own account with its own “ship to” address to which the products will be delivered.
Each pharmacy will need to meet the $9,000 minimum order value on each order.
Q. Would I be able to return stock back to Pfizer for credit?
A.
We have a very clear Returns policy. Stock will be accepted back in the following cases only:
- Damaged stock
- Faulty stock
- Stock delivered incorrectly
We will not accept short dated or expired stock.
If you would like to return stock please follow your standard returns procedure. Please ensure that you return product from the correct batch of your Pfizer Direct order.
Q. What do I do next?
A. You need to register for Pfizer Direct by
filling in your details in the “Register” tab of this website. Once your registration
has been accepted you will receive an email and a phone call from Pfizer Direct office
to explain next steps and order process.
Q. I want to register on-line. How
long will it take?
A.The actual on-line registration process should
only take a few minutes. We will then set up your account in our systems. That can
take up to 3 days. On completion of this you will receive an email from us advising
that you are fully set up and are ready to trade through Pfizer Direct.
